Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how CleaningBiz Toolkit (the Service) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our member area. It also explains your choices for managing them. We are based in Sydney, Australia and serve members globally.

1. About this policy

CleaningBiz Toolkit (we, us, our) operates the Service. This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms. By continuing to use the Service after seeing our cookie banner, or by selecting a preference in the banner, you agree to the use of cookies as described here.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site operators. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDKs — perform comparable functions and are covered by this policy.

3. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary (essential): required to run the Service — keeping you signed in, securing your session, processing payments, remembering your cookie choice, and routing requests. The Service will not function correctly without these and they cannot be turned off.
  • Functional: remember your preferences (e.g. last viewed tool, dismissed banners) so the Service feels consistent between visits.
  • Analytics / performance: help us understand how members use the Service so we can improve guides, tools, and the AI assistant. We use Google Analytics 4 (cookies such as _ga and _ga_*), which only runs when you choose Accept All. Until then, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage denied.
  • Marketing: reserved for any future remarketing or conversion measurement on member acquisition campaigns. These also only run when you choose Accept All.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Third-party services

Some cookies and similar technologies are set by trusted third-party providers we use to operate the Service:

  • Supabase — authentication, session, and database access.
  • Stripe — secure subscription and payment processing (sets cookies on its checkout and customer portal pages).
  • Resend — transactional and Radar email delivery; email opens may be tracked using a pixel.
  • Google Analytics 4 — privacy-conscious usage analytics, gated by your cookie consent.
  • AI providers — used by our AI assistant to process the prompts you submit.
  • Analytics and error monitoring providers — used (if enabled) to measure performance and fix bugs.

These providers process data under their own privacy and cookie policies and only as needed to deliver their service to us.

5. Managing your cookie choices

You can manage cookies in the following ways:

  • Our consent banner: choose Accept Essential or Accept All. Your choice is stored locally on your device.
  • Reset your choice: clear site data for this site in your browser settings, then reload — the banner will reappear and you can choose again.
  • Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy or security settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other parts of the Service.
  • Email tracking: you can disable remote images in your email client to limit open tracking, and use the unsubscribe link in any Radar email to stop receiving them.

6. Your rights by region

We are based in Sydney, Australia and serve members worldwide. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply:

  • Australia (Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles): you can request access to and correction of the personal information we hold about you, and complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled it.
  • EU / UK (GDPR, UK GDPR and PECR): you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent and you can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • California (CCPA / CPRA) and similar US state laws: you have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
  • Canada (PIPEDA), Brazil (LGPD), and other regions: similar rights may apply under your local law.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@cleaningbiztoolkit.com.

7. Data retention and security

Cookies remain on your device for the duration set by the cookie (session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them). Information collected via cookies is protected using the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy, including encryption in transit and access controls.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will always show when the policy was most recently changed.
